    This is the interview and the quote starts 78:43. What he is talking about is the feeling that black people have towards dark skin black people. He is raising the issue that dark skin people are not see as beautiful and dark skin is a disadvantage. He isnt saying dark skin people are less than but this issue is in our community.

    In WW2 alot of officer made high rank at relatively young ages. The character that Terrence Howard was based on was 32 when he led the 332nd Squadron. There  is much in your review I disagree with but I just wanted to point that one out. I think people that criticize the movie simply from the style or dialogue miss the bigger point of the story. It wasnt that the 332nd was a spectacular unit. It was that the overall of perception of black soldiers was that they were inadequate fighters. They had to work twice as hard as their white counterparts just to prove their equality as fighters. To harp on dialogue, or music, or the love story subplot you do a disservice to acts the Tuskegee Airmen did accomplish. On a sidenote anyone expecting a history lesson from a movie is a jack-a**.What I hope is people will be interested enough to go find out on their own the history of the Tuskegee Airmen…
